Formula for Getting Everything You Want & More!

How to Get Everything You Want - and More!

How to Get Everything You Want – and More!

Right now I’m participating in a high-level coaching certification program that focuses heavily on wealth consciousness and making a lot of money in your spirit-based business. I’m already a certified Money Breakthrough coach, but I love the topic of money so much that I signed up for this new program so I could deepen my relationship with money even further, and ultimately be able to help my clients do this as well!

As part of the program, we’re required to read daily the books The Science of Getting Rich , by Wallace D. Wattles (this is the book that The Secret was based upon), and Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill. You may have heard of these books, or even read them a time or two yourself like I had, but I can assure you that reading them on a daily basis (not to mention the book reports we are required to turn in!) has taken my understanding of these topics to a much deeper level.

I won’t go into all the details here, but one of the concepts that has struck me the most is the absolute TRUTH that the Universe (God, Source, your Higher Power, etc.) actually wants to give you everything you want and more.

In The Science of Getting Rich it says, “The Universe desires you to have everything you want to have… and is more anxious to give you what you want than you are to get it.”

Read that again to really let it sink in:

The Universe (God) wants us to have everything we want, even more so than we do!

Isn’t this great news?!

So then, you’re probably asking yourself, why don’t we have all the money we need to pay our bills, or the ideal clients signing up for programs in our business, or the nice home we’ve always wanted to live in, etc?

In a word, the answer is YOU. You are the one standing in your own way (sorry!).

We’ve been programmed as a society to not expect to get what we want, to not ask for what we desire so we won’t be disappointed, and to only make do with the bare minimum. And then we wonder why we’re so unhappy! Each one of us has so many desires and wants, but we bury and repress them deep down because we’ve been told over and over again that it’s wrong to ask for too much or to want more than we currently have.

The prosperity books I’ve been reading lately turn this idea completely upside down.

From The Science of Getting Rich (and the Bible) it is written, “You need not hesitate about asking largely; ‘it is your Father’s pleasure to give you the kingdom,’ said Jesus.”

So not only can we have what we want, but we can ask for everything we want and more! Are you doing a little dance like I am? 

This means that not only can you have your bills paid each month, but you can book that trip to Paris and stay in the fancy hotel you’ve always dreamed about, or hire that housekeeper you desperately need, or just buy that hot dress you look so fabulous in!

Can I get a WOOT?!

Let’s take this one step further because I can hear you saying, “Mary, that’s great that we can have all we want and more, but if the Universe wants to give us everything we desire, how exactly are we supposed to get all these cool things? They’ve never shown up before…”

Actually, it’s quite simple. You ask!

You decide exactly what you want, get super-duper clear on your specific desire, and then you ask for that thing to be delivered to you.

In The Science of Getting Rich, Wattles says, “[…] you need not hesitate to ask largely. Your part is to focalize and express the desire to God.” The way you “ask” is to get incredibly clear on your desire(s), and then continually see that thing in your mind while taking any action that comes to you in the form of inspired ideas.

This is where most of us get a little off-track and the reason why so many people don’t receive the desires we want so badly. We either don’t REALLY know what we want, are not clear enough about our desires, or don’t spend enough time really contemplating that thing in our mind.

For example, most of us ask vaguely for “more money” and then wonder why it doesn’t show up. In this case it would be better to ask for a specific amount of money for a very specific purpose, i.e. I need $3,500 for my upcoming trip to Paris; the plane ticket costs $1,000, the five-night hotel stay costs $1500, and the remaining $1,000 will be used for daily meals and shopping.

Wattles writes, “Use your mind to form a mental image of what you want, and hold to that vision with faith and purpose [to bring that thing about].”

Basically, this means that you need to get really intimate with your desires by visualizing them (as often as you can and in as much detail as possible), and then take inspired action to demonstrate your faith and purpose that this thing is on its way to you now.

Finally, and this should not be underestimated, don’t worry or doubt whether this thing is coming; see it, claim it, know it is already yours, and then take whatever action you can to begin bringing it to you asap!

Yes, you can have whatever you want and more.
